I really have nothing better to do right now, so here's a fanfic meme I found.

1. Which is your favorite fic?

For Zelda, it's "Who By Fire." It's my first legitimate multi-chapter fic I've done in years. I think the last multi-chapter fic I attempted was in 2004, and it was never completed. I've invested a lot of time, thought, and effort into "Fire", a lot more than my other fics. It's the one I'm most proud of, and the only one I'm actively advertizing.

It's turned out a lot differently than I intended, but in a good way. At first, I intended Zelda to actually fall in love with Ghirahim, and to turn against Link. I had all these scenes planned out between her and Ghirahim. But when I started writing it, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that idea wouldn't work.

So, I'm having Ghirahim "fall in love" with her. He's not actually going to love her, not like humans can. I think he would confuse obsession with love, and emotional lust for affection. She embodies everything he hates and doesn't understand. She's the reincarnation of a Goddess, the same one who he fought against in the prologue to Skyward Sword. I think he'd try to re-make her into his own Goddess, by putting her on a pedestal, more as something to admire than a human being. He'd try to convince himself that he "loves" her, but he can't. This basically unravels him by the end of the story.

2. Which is your best-received fic?

As far as the best and most reviews, it's "Who By Fire." It also has the most favorites, reviews and alerts than my other stories. it has 67 reviews at 9 chapters so far. I get an average of 5-7 reviews per chapter, and it's going to be well over 24. I anticipate (this is just an estimate) for it to have at least 200 reviews by the time I finish, which would be the most I've ever had for a story.

3. Which is your worst-received fic?

In terms of reviews, it's "The lady's not for burning" with 0. I can't think of any in terms of how many people didn't like it. I've never really had someone tell me the outright disliked one of my stories.

4. Which is your angsty-est fic?

You're joking right. All of my fics are angst-y in their own way. I guess I'd have to pick "Pale Shores" for this, because the imagery, tone and theme of the fic itself is depressing.

5. Which is your funniest fic?

I don't do funny fics. I guess it would be "The problem with fleas" for the funniest. It was about Urahara going to Byakuya for advise about Yoruichi, whom he had to shave (as a cat) and how Urahara should handle it.

6. Smuttiest?

"The Four Long Seasons" (which I need to update...) is a COLLECTION of smutfics. It only has 2 chapters out of 4 so far. I really do need to update it.

7. Fluffiest?

"Gift or Reverie." Ishida and Orihime cuddle and talk about traveling elsewhere.

8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic?

Not that I know of.

9. Which fic frustrates you the most?

In terms of writing, it's "Fire." I'm slowly becoming more used to writing it, but I have to revise and edit so much of the chapters before I actually publish them, topping it off with running it across my beta, etc, each chapter takes at least a week or more to complete. Next to that, it's "The Four Long Seasons" because I've ran out of inspiration and motivation to continue it.

10. Which fic was the most fun to write?

I find a reasonable amount of fun in every fic I write, so I can't choose.

11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created?

Not for fanfiction, but right now Asmodeus Morgue for my original story, "Paper Tigers." He's such a charmer, but an ass at the same time. He's conflicted and doubtful, very much a pessimist. He can be a real sarcastic bastard when he wants to be, too.

12. Are you better at oneshot or mulitpart?

Oneshot, most certainly. It's so much easier for me to take an idea, write it in one chapter, and call it done.

13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying?

Byakuya. I've been told I'm really good at writing him. Next to Byakuya, it would be Ghirahim, though Ghirahim gives me far more problems than Byakuya does, because he's a much more unstable character.

14. What character is the most difficult to portray?

Mayuri. As much as ILY [livejournal.com profile] laerkstrein I really can't stand writing Mayuri for this reason. I don't like him as a character (though I see his charm) and I don't understand him, nor do I identify with him. I can only write characters I like, identify with, and understand on some level.

15. Tag five other authors!

I don't think I even know five other authors, but: [livejournal.com profile] laerkstrein [livejournal.com profile] afteriwake here you go :)
