Some things go unwritten

I always seem to get reviews such as "I liked it...it was really weird, but I liked it..."

If you're going to complement someone it needs to be a WHOLE compliment, not half an insult. Even if you don't mean to be insulting by calling someone's writing "weird", and unless they like their writing being called such - which I do not - make your compliment a WHOLE one and not throw in a "but", because you nullify any positivity your comment otherwise had.

How has the word 'fanfiction' become synonymous with 'bad'?

I deleted my fandom tumblr today, because I just had it with all the drama and disrespect people were throwing at me.

Long story short: I posted a question along the lines of "I'm not the only one who things X character is asexual, and doesn't ship him with any males in the series?" Cue shitstorm. Someone accused me of not knowing what asexual meant: "You don't really know what asexual IS, do you?" Another posted "Just a reminder, you [as in, me] ship him with a girl in the series, just in case you forgot." And when I tried to explain my opinion more thoroughly, two other people jumped on the snark and disrespect wagon.

So I'm done with tumblr. Shitty place anyway. At least on here, I can block people who are disrespectful and insulting.

Here's a surprising confession: I hate both the IchiRuki AND IchiHime fans.

Neither side has absolutely no redeeming traits. All they do is bicker and fight. I hate it when IchiRuki fans go "oh, of course an IchiHime fan would say that" and I hate it when IchiHime fans go "oh, of course an IchiRuki fan would say that."

Both parties are equally annoying, stuck up, overly opinionated asshats. I truly and honestly would not side with either of them, even if I DID ship one over the other. I am, of course, only talking about the insane ones.

I ship BOTH IchiRuki and IchiHime, and I honestly don't see why both sides of the ship argument refuse to see the potential both ships have.

Shippers, you don't have to agree with the other side, but have the decency to respect them. They are not unintelligent or ignorant simply because they ship a different couple. By calling them such, you are NOT helping your side, nor are you making your ship look better. You only make matters worse.

The sad part is? Kubo probably isn't going to make EITHER ship "canon", which means both sides are going to endlessly bitch and whine about the other.

I just got a review that said "I'm sorry, but you really need to work on your grammar, I can't understand what you're writing." This is for "House on Fire" btw.

Uh. Excuse me. I've been writing for fourteen years. I do NOT need to work on my grammar. It's not perfect, but it's not something I feel I need to improve on.

I mean, I realize my style of writing isn't "conventional" but that doesn't seem to bother anyone except the one or two people who have to have everything written like a dictionary to understand it. Where's the fun in that?

I swear, almost no one these days knows how to write a proper review. I'm so glad my f-list, at least, know how to.

First off, I'm not trying to start arguments, nor am I telling anyone they can't ship ByaRuki. This is just a rant. If you're a ByaRuki fan, it's best that you move along.

ANYWAY that's my thoughts on it. I should find better things to rant about in Bleach besides pairings and yaoi, haha.

I'm sad to say this, but I'm seriously tired of supplying my own fandom fixes.

Seriously. I can't go on ANY Bleach related site anymore (especially not the bleach tag on tumblr) without seeing people bitch and whine and fight about this ONE LITTLE SCENE. GUYS. SHUT UP.

Bleach fandom will never, ever change.

I keep getting reviews for "Farther Forward" and about half I've been getting ALL say something like "Byakuya's reaction was so over the top."

But no one is telling me WHY it's "over the top." You know, I can't improve on something you don't like if you don't tell me what it is. It may seem over the top to one person, but not to the next, so WHY is it over the top to some, and not to others? I hate it when reviwers do that. If you're going to critisize something, at least tell me more about why you think it needs critisism, not just "I think it was OOC."

I also hate the thinly veiled insults people (mostly on ff.net) like throwing at me about my ByaYoru fics. "Oh I really liked this, but I don't like the pairing very much, I prefer pairing X. But I liked this anyway!" Well fuck, what a nice thing to say! It's like telling someone "I like your outfit, but you look fat in it." Either you tell me you like it 100% or you don't. I do not care about your freaking ships. If you don't like the pairing in the fic, THEN DON'T READ IT. Seriously. Not hard.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject - REALLY, now, what's wtih all the wank going on about the "IchiHime hug" in Hell Verse? What the fuck, really? Do people REALLY have nothing better to focus on the entire movie besides the damn hug Orihime gave Ichigo? I hate that Bleach has so many meaningless shipping wars. Ugh.

I love fandom wank, though.. It keeps me entertained.
